Please contact me for pricing of Calligraphy services (for Wedding Invitations, place cards, you name it.)

CARDS.  

All cards are handmade/hand drawn. Each card is $5.00; each one of these was made with a lot of time, care, & "LOVE." They will be customized with whatever message you would like, on both the outside & inside. Please include this information when you order:

1. The card #/card name
2. The "inside & outiside" messages [Please be aware that space is limited on the outside of the card, as you can see in each picture.]

An "Elegant Writer" Calligraphy Marker was used of course, for the all of the "writing." [It will be used for any & all customized writing as well.]

More cards are in the works; more will definitely be added as the Holidays come along. Please contact me if you have any requests or suggestions, & I will do my best to accommodate them.

Only $15, frame included! $5 extra for shipping & handling if outside of the Hampton Roads, VA area. The art will be placed in a 5 x 7 inch frame. You give me the details - initials to use, the names to include, theme or colors, a date if you'd like to include that, & I will create it. It will be created within 2 days of placing the order. Please allow time for shipping if outside of the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. These are perfect additions to Wedding Gifts. They are also perfect for Anniversaries, Graduations, & celebrating the birth of Babies. You name it, give me details, and I'll create it. Recap of my Birthday Celebrations 2012 (Oohwee, the big 33!)

Yes, that was my birthday cake. I wasn't expecting it, but at the end of my big birthday dinner, a waitress brought this out for me. My Honey had his friend's sister make this oh-so-yummy Tiramisu flavored Hello Kitty shaped cake.

 

I had an amazing birthday week. Dinner with my parents & my Love last Wednesday at Bonefish Grill, then on Thursday - the romantic dinner for two at il Giardino with my Love, & Friday was a celebration with friends.

Below are some pictures from il Giardino...our waiter brought me a Napoleon (yummy) with a candle on it, & the violinist played "Happy Birthday" for me. It was so romantic!

I had an awesome 3 days- October 3rd, 4th, & 5th! My Babe gave me a wonderful & thoughtful present- a Samsung Galaxy S3 cellphone. I LOVE IT! But I tell him all the time that the best gift of all, is him & the love that gives & shows me daily. I am a lucky girl.   Everyone (my friends and family)  made the day(s) so special as well, and I will cherish the memories always. :)

YAY, my favorite month is here!

I love it because this year, it will be a busy and extra special one! As mentioned in my previous blog, I'll be celebrating my birthday.  But to add to that, my Love & I have 3 weddings to attend, a baby shower, and of course, candy day a.k.a. Halloween! :)

But a very big and special announcement came yesterday...my brother and his girlfriend of 3 years are getting married on October 20th!  Congratulations Kris & Erin!

I need to work on more cards & more of my creations!

My Birthday is Coming Up! :)

I always get so excited when October rolls around.  It always means my birthday is coming up, then Halloween, then that means the Holidays are right around the corner!

I've always been a Birthday-Lovin' kinda girl. Not for the presents, but more for the celebration of course.  Another year = another year of blessings.  No matter what is going on, good or bad, I always have to be thankful... thankful that I am alive, and thankful that I am healthy. God is awesome.

This year, I already have my "b-day week" planned out. My birthday is on October 5th, so it falls on a Friday.  That Wednesday, I will be celebrating it with my Parents and my Honey, Duane.  I wish my brother could make it, but he'll be at work.  That Thursday, it will be just an intimate dinner with my <3  Love, just the two of us, celebrating at Il Giardino at the beach. I knew from the first time we ate there for one of our monthsaries last year, that I wanted my birthday dinner there - they don't have the usual group of waiters/waitresses singing Happy Birthday; they have a solo violinist come around, and he plays the birthday song for you. It's beautiful. I'll probably cry. Heehee. (Oh & their Napoleon dessert is to-die-for!) On Friday, the day of my actual birthday, I'm celebrating with my Honey & my friends. The venue is still undecided, and I am limited as to where I can hold it, since most places don't make reservations for a Friday night, especially for big parties because it is their "prime/busy dinner time." blah. 

When I was younger *Who am I kidding, I'm just talking about 3 years ago*, my birthday celebration always included some hardcore partying after the "dinner."  Over the past few years though, that part has not been so big for me anymore. I am just so happy and satisfied with dinner and relaxing.  This year though, I am thinking about maybe watching "Taken 2" afterwards, since it comes out that day. We shall see.

So those are my intended "Birthday Shindig" plans in a not-so-nutshell. Who knows, things may change. I love a good surprise!

Intro

Hey everyone! I am brand-spankin' new to the blogworld, so please bear with me! :)

My name is Kristine Joy Marcelo & I would have to say that I am an "All-around-the-World" kinda girl - as I have lived in, and have been to school on three different continents. I was born in the Philippines, grew up in Germany, and currently reside in Virginia Beach.  *Army Brat for life!* I would also consider myself  "EurAsiAmerican" because I am such a mix of all these cultures, & I wouldn't have it any other way.

On this page, I'd like to share my passion and love for all things artsy, creative, make-up related, food-related, and of course, Lovey-Dovey. I will slowly introduce each of those factors in my future blogs.

I'd also like to introduce my new business, "K Joy Creations."  I will be creating and selling handmade cards & personalizing them, making small signs (8 1/2 x 11 in) for weddings, infants, children, & personalizing those also. I do Calligraphy, and would like to create place cards for weddings, and even help with the Calligraphy on invitations.  Again, I will slowly introduce everything in future Blogs.

I'm excited about this new "adventure," and hope that some of you will join me for the ride!
